[X] DISCONTINUATION NOTICE

June 14, 2022 - we have decided to discontinue the “Butterfly” project due to a large amount of reported bugs we were unable to find a fix to. The model and documentation will remain public, but we no longer offer technical support for this product.

First of all, we must make sure that you understand what Butterfly is being used for. Butterfly is a system dedicated to training center or interview center experiences. It is meant to be placed in a dedicated ROBLOX place, where users are able to join and attend sessions.

The first step is to own the Butterfly System model. You can get this for free directly from ROBLOX at the following link: https://www.roblox.com/library/9393068504

Once you own the model, you will want to insert it inside your game by opening the Toolbox (inside ROBLOX Studio), going to the Inventory tab, and clicking on the item named "Butterfly System".

(note that depending on the date you will add this, the icon might be different)

A dialog box will pop up telling you that the model contains several scripts. Click on Ok.

In your Explorer, you will now notice a Folder named "Butterfly System".

You will want to drag and drop the whole Folder inside ServerScriptService. This is crucial for the system to work correctly.

You can now open the Folder by clicking on the little ">" symbol or double-clicking on it. You will see 3 instances: a ModuleScript called "Configuration" or "Settings", a Folder named "Data", and a Folder named "Butterfly_Workspace".

Select and move the "Butterfly_Workspace" Folder into Workspace (service).

To use, duplicate, move, or delete these models, open the "Butterfly_Workspace" Folder. You will see another 2 Folders.

Do NOT delete, rename, or move the "Values" and the "Buterfly_Workspace" Folders.

Only change things inside the "Elements" Folder if you wish to. You can also delete it.

Once you're done, you will want to go back to the main Butterfly System Folder and find the "Configuration" or "Settings" ModuleScript. Open it.

Here you can configure the settings and everything else you need to change.

Once done, you are good to go! Don't forget to save the changes made to the game.

You can duplicate, delete, move, or change the physical models. It's recommended not to rename them, and also do not change scripts or UIs.

Note: do not rename the Butterfly folder(s) or the system will break.
